The most common indication of a problem with the 26i autoloader is a blinking or constantly-on amber lamp. The presence of an amber lamp illuminated generally indicates an issue with the printer cartridges. The autoloader will cease operating if the amber lamp is on.

 

If the amber lamp is in a continuously-on state the printer cartridges are exhausted and need replacement.

 

If the amber lamp is flashing it indicates a condition where a cartridge may be faulty or not seated properly. To rectify, open the top of the autoloader and remove the cartridges. Take care to not touch the contacts on the cartridges. Check for foreign material or dirt particles. Reseat the cartridges and check if amber lamp is out. If amber lamp continues to flash, replace the cartridges with new ones being careful to properly seat them.
